Where Is Steamboat Springs?

Steamboat Springs, Colorado, is a popular travel destination, especially for skiing. It’s nestled in the Rocky Mountains near plenty of outdoor attractions. You’ll find a historic downtown and village only a few miles apart, where you can visit charming shops and eateries.

This vacation spot is located along the United States Highway 40, west of the continental divide in the upper valley of the Yampa River. It’s located around 150 miles northwest of Denver, Colorado, and about 45 miles south of the Wyoming border.

Flights and Directions to The Porches of Steamboat From the Airport

Steamboat Springs flights come in from all across the country. Some direct flights depart from major cities like Denver, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston and Atlanta. To plan your trip, check your local airport for more information about routes and schedules. If you plan to rent a car, follow these directions to The Porches.

From Yampa Valley Regional Airport:

Take the access road for about 2 miles to US-40. Turn right and head east for 21 miles to downtown Steamboat Springs. Proceed through the downtown area for approximately 3 miles to the Mt. Werner exit. Take the exit ramp and turn left at the stop sign onto Mt. Werner Road. See below for final directions to The Porches vacation rentals from Mt. Werner Road.

From Denver International Airport:

Steamboat Springs is about 3 hours, 177-mile drive from DIA. Once you get to Denver from Pena Boulevard, head west on I-70 for 70 miles to Silverthorne. Take exit 205, and drive 37 miles north on CO-9 to Kremmling. At Kremmling, turn left and head west on US-40 for 50 miles to the outskirts of Steamboat Springs. Take the Mt. Werner exit and turn right at the stop sign onto Mt. Werner Road. See below for final directions to our vacation homes from Mt. Werner Road.

From Mt. Werner Road:

Head uphill on Mt Werner Rd through 2 traffic lights. 100 yards after the 2nd light, take the 3rd exit from the traffic circle onto Steamboat Boulevard and take the first right onto Rockies Way. Take the first left onto Indian Summer Drive and proceed 100 yards further to our amenities building, The Barn, at 2096 Indian Summer Drive.
