Steamboat is one of the first spots in Colorado to turn gold. The valley and surrounding peaks shift into brilliant shades of yellow, orange, and red, with peak color typically hitting the last week of September through the first week of October.
Some local favorites for chasing color: Buffalo Pass Road, Fish Creek Falls Trail, and the Yampa River Core Trail right in town.
