How easy is it to get around without driving?
Our complimentary private shuttle runs daily to the mountain, downtown, and local attractions, and a paved bike path connects The Porches to the Yampa River Core Trail. Most summer guests drive in and barely touch their car the rest of the trip.
Does the shuttle require reservations?
No reservations needed. It's complimentary, runs on a set daily schedule, and picks you up right at your door.
What's parking like if we bring multiple vehicles?
Each home includes a heated garage plus additional outdoor parking. If your group is bringing 3+ vehicles, contact our reservations team and we'll map out the best setup for your property.
How close are we to grocery stores and liquor stores?
A short drive or shuttle ride away. Even easier: our concierge pre-stocks your kitchen before you arrive so you skip the first-day grocery run entirely.
When should I book a summer vacation home in Steamboat?
Earlier than you think. Peak summer runs July through August, and the best homes fill by late fall, so we recommend booking by November or December.
What is the weather like in Steamboat in the summer?
Daytime temps run mid-70s to low-80s with cool nights in the 40s and 50s. Afternoon thunderstorms are common but roll through in about 30 minutes. Pack layers, sunscreen (the UV at 6,700 feet is stronger than you'd expect), and a light rain jacket.

How many en-suite bathrooms are there? Will mornings be a bottleneck?
Not here. Our 5-bedroom homes have 5.5+ bathrooms and our 4-bedrooms typically have 4, most with en-suite access, soaking tubs or rain showers, and fresh towels stocked before you arrive.
Is there enough gathering space for a big group?
These homes were designed for groups: open great rooms with stone fireplaces, full dining areas, and lower-level rec rooms with home theaters and game tables. When you want even more room, The Barn is steps away with its own great room, game room, and pool deck.
Is the kitchen actually equipped for cooking for 10 to 14 people?
Every home has Sub-Zero refrigerators, Wolf ranges, granite countertops, and enough cookware and place settings for the full group. If you'd rather skip the cooking, our concierge arranges grocery pre-stocking, delivery, or private chef dinners right in your home.
Is there private outdoor space? Decks, fire pit, mountain views?
Most homes have private decks or patios with Yampa Valley views, and The Porches sits on 16 quiet acres so there's real breathing room between homes. The Barn adds a shared BBQ deck with grills, a fire pit, and poolside seating exclusively for guests.
